Scout - basic requirements for becoming a Boy Scout - requirements

Tenderfoot - the requirements offer a taste of the great adventures awaiting in Scouting, and can give the basic skills needed to begin taking part in those adventures - requirements

2nd Class - working on skills like using a map and compass, first aid, how to build a safe campfire, how to use a pocket knife and other wood tools safely - requirements

1st Class -  more camping and hiking help refine the skills already learned and work on new skills to help you in your Scouting adventure. Scouts are taking on more responsibility and help the troop and community - requirements

Star - the Star scout has earned 6 merit badges, participated in community service projects and has held a position of leadership in the troop - requirements

Life - refining leadership skills, earning 5 more merit badges and community service are part of this rank - requirements

Eagle - The highest rank in Boy Scouts, 10 more merit badges for a total of 21 must be earned along with 6 months of a leadership position and an Eagle Scout Service Project - requirements
