Guadalupe Chili Pie |

| 2 lb ground beef |
½ tsp chili powder |
| 1 med onion, chopped |
½ tsp salt |
| 1 Tbsp margarine |
One 8-oz can tomato sauce |
| One 15-oz can chili beans |
Two 6-oz pkgs cornbread mix |

| Directions: |

- Brown the beef and onion in the margarine in an uncovered Dutch oven. Add the beans, chili powder, salt and sauce. Cover and cook for 15 minutes.
- Mix the cornbread as directed (Hint: Marie Callendar’s brand requires no eggs or milk—only water). Add cornbread mixture to the top of the meat and beans. Cover and cook for 30 to 45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the thickest part of the cornbread comes out clean. Use approx 10 charcoal briquettes under the oven and about 15 on top.
